Sep 11, 2014 6:44 PM in response to rosch726by nlbconcrete,Apple lists 'Other' as a combination of iOS data etc. You can check out Understanding iOS device capacity (section towards the bottom entitled 'View Usage on iTunes') for more info but typically if there is an excessive amount, that indicates you may have some corruption or a bug in your software. Best way to resolve will be to Restore your device and Set up as New .iOS: How to back up your data and set up your device as a new device
That article has step-by-step instructions for Backing up your device and then Restoring and setting up as New using iTunes also.

The Apple store did a reset and set up as new. Then they had me do a restore to have everything set up again. Being that they did that and it is still showing lots of "other" should I do "set up new" again and not reset things and just use as like a new phone? -
Sep 12, 2014 3:44 AM in response to rosch726by Alfred DeRose,This is expected if you restore. If you don't want your app baggage, set it up as a new device.
