Sep 11, 2014 7:26 PM in response to Dudleyfromruxtonby gail from maine,If you changed your existing Apple ID to a new email address by using the EDIT button in Manage your Apple ID, then follow these instructions to get your new ID signed into iCloud on your device:
1. Sign into Manage your Apple ID with your current ID and password, and EDIT your Apple ID back to the old email address. This is temporary. Do NOT verify it, do NOT change your password: Apple - My Apple ID
2. Go to Settings>iCloud on your device and scroll down to the bottom of the screen. Click on Delete Account. Type in your current password when asked, and follow the prompts to delete the account
3. Go back to Manage your Apple ID, sign on with the changed Apple ID and your current password, and EDIT your Apple ID back to the new email address. You may need to verify it again
4. Go back to Settings>iCloud and sign on with your new ID
Cheers,

Sep 11, 2014 7:28 PM in response to Dudleyfromruxtonby nlbconcrete,Dudley you can go to Settings>iCloud and press on 'Delete Account' on the bottom. If it asks for your password and then states it is incorrect then we will have to follow iOS 7: If you're asked for the password to your previous Apple ID when signing out of iCloud
There's a section towards the bottom entitled 'Change your Apple Id temporarily' which if you follow, I believe you will resolve your issue.
