iPad2 backup error since itunes 11.4

iPad2 backup error message: can't backup due to an error (nothing more). This happens since update to iTunes 11.4 this week, but I'm not really sure if it is related. I tried everything mentioned on this support link on apple page - iOS: Wenn Sie in iTunes kein Backup erstellen können oder die Wiederherstellung aus einem Backup nicht möglich ist.

MacBookPro late 2013, ipad2 iOS 7.1.2 (all latest updates installed)

(deleted backup, checked permissions, deleted lock down folders, tried on other MAC, used different user, restarted devices several times.)

The latest backup with previous itunes worked without problems. )

Any ideas?

The error was caused by an app (onsong). Error: file name / path too long.

(Could not find it out with itunes but with an additional app for backing up ipad (CopyTrans) - should be possible in itunes as well)

Solved with deletion of the app and reinstallation (backup onsong DB before! and restore it afterwards)

Just in case anyone else has similar issue.
