Q: Can't print on Canon MP530...

I have Retina Mac (10.9.4) and I'm unable to print on a Canon MP530. How do I add a printer driver to my Mac (if needed) and any idea why the printer status always shows as 'offline'? The printer is plugged in, the USB is plugged in. Thanks.
