    Your post doesn't make it clear about several factors;

    Is the video already on YouTube?

    If it is, do you have permission to use the video?

    Do you want to make a DVD that will play in DVD players?

    Or do you want to make a simple data disc just to make a copy of the video?

    Yes, the video is already on You Tube?  We believe this particular video does not require permission to use or copy.  We have no plans to sell or distribute it.

    Yes, I wish to make a  DVD that will play in DVD players.

      Thanks for the reply.  We have enjoyed this apple for three years, but still have much to learn.

    Unless you created the video or own the rights to it, there's a 99.9999% chance that you will need permission to use it regardless of whether or not you plan to distribute it.  If you do get permission, when negotiating with the copyright owner, also negotiate to get them to supply you with a less compressed copy of it to maintain quality.

    If you have to download it from YouTube, you'll need a plugin for the web browser you're using ... or use one of the available download services.  Most plugins and download services will provide an MPEG-4 file, which will need to be converted in Compressor before authoring a DVD.  Another option would be to use a screen recording app.
