Arris TG862 modem put in bridge mode, now no internet.

I've recently been having reliability and speed issues with my internet. After doing some research on forums, I set my Time Capsule Router Mode from "DHCP and NAT" to "Off (Bridge Mode)" and made a call to Comcast to have my modem put into bridge mode. Now the WiFi light is out on the modem and there is no longer a signal - a good thing. Unfortunately, my AirPort Utility shows the internet disconnected.

Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

If the modem is in bridge.. the TC must be in DHCP and NAT mode..

If the modem is also a router the TC must be in bridge mode.. you seem to be trying to do things the wrong way around.

Power down the modem for 20min.. make sure the TC is setup correctly.. and power it down.. at the end of 20min.. power up the modem.. wait 2min,, with ethernet from LAN Arris to WAN TC.. power up the TC.. ensure you have a public IP on the wan interface of the TC.. if not you still have the setup wrong.

Go back and ask Comcast to put your main modem back into router mode.. and bridge the TC.. this often works better and more reliably now.
