Q: How do I terminate my iCloud account. No longer need it.

You can't delete an iCloud account, you can only sign out of it and stop using it.  If you have a storage upgrade, downgrade your storage to the free (see iCloud: Storage upgrades and downgrades), archive your iCloud data if you need to (see Archive or make copies of your iCloud data), then sign out of the account on the iCloud control panel and delete the account from your iOS devices.
