Ipad 4: touch screen stopped working. Any suggestion?

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

Recovering the iOS...meaning restoring the device? Did you restore as new or from a backup? If from a backup, perhaps you should try to restore as new.

If you have restored the iOS and restored as new, there really isn't anything else that you can do. Take the iPad to an Apple Store and let them evaluate the device.

One last question.... You don't have some sort of cover or screen protector on the device that could be causing problems do you? I have been in discussions like this and have gone back and forth for two days when the OP finally made a remark to the effect of " I wonder if my screen protector is causing this?" 😠
