Will iPhone 6 connect at USB 3.0 speeds via lighting connector for sync of phone with iTunes on PC?

According to System Profiler my iPhone 6 is using USB 2.

According to my System Profiler it is USB 3.0 (although it doesn't seem like it is that fast)

Theoretically connecting to MacBook equipped with wireless ac should be fast

J Cobb answered your question using the Mac as an example. If you look at his screenshot you can clearly see that plugging the iPhone 6 into the USB 3.0 port activates the USB 2.0 hub. This tells you that the iPhone 6 DOES NOT support USB 3.0 speeds.

Even though the iPhone 6 is connected to a USB 3.0 Hi-Speed Bus, it still shows the connection at 480mbps -- it's USB 2.0.

Hi - just found this as I had a similar issue:

"USB 3 devices will appear in the "USB 3.0 SuperSpeed" section. Other devices will appear in the "USB Hi-Speed" section"

IE if a device is showing in USB hi-speed Bus 3.0 really means 'not connected as usb 3'

for 3.0 speeds it has to show in 'USB 3.0 superspeed'
