I have forgotten my code which restricts my volume level on volume settings. How do I access this?

I recently sold my ipod nano 3rd gen on ebay however the buyer cannot change the volume level as a few years ago i had put a code to restrict it on. I have now forgotten this code and was wondering if there was any way to access it again?

thank you!
