Can I retrieve deleted text messages?

If your erased messages were backed up either in an iTunes backup or iCloud backup, you can restore from that backup and recover the messages. Keep in mind though that this restore will take your iPhone back to the information from the day you are restoring; anything added since that date will be removed.
