Best Car Mount Holder for iPhone 6

Your post looks like an advertisement rather than a user suggestion? I have had a look at those links and their are some bad reviews about the quality and usability of those products.

You guys gotta be kidding with sunvisor and airvent mount suggestions? 🙂 I would strongly recommend to stay away from those because they loosen up over the time (especially when it gets hot in the car, that's plastic for you!) and will drop once you go over bumps or railroad crossing lol!!! I mean, YMMV, but you gotta keep your phone somewhere on an eye level instead looking up or down to see the nav or emails or whatever. Oh, and all these cheap plastic mounts crack, break, and just don't hold iPhone or android phones firmly. Since we have a mix of android and iphones at home, I went through a bunch of mounts just to find something simple and common to use with all our phones. And I'm still keep coming back to one of the Arkon models, the Mobile Grip 2. Found it originally on one of the review sites (here is the original review: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2732573) and probably the best mount I tried to far. Also, tried ram mounts, too bulky, especially that mounting arm (forget about it), and iottie stuff was too flimsy and covers back/camera. MG2 has a decent spring hold even with a bulky otterbox case and it doesn't cover the camera, you can even use it as a dashcam 🙂 Like I said, YMMV, but just trying to save you time in searching since I have half a dozen of mounts here and it was all waste of money since I'm only using Arkon MG2 now 😉

I have one in each of my cars. BEST holder ever. Waiting on http://www.brodit.com/product.html?id=515663 to ship. I buy mine from ProClip, http://www.proclipusa.com, but they are not showing details like this yet. Might need to go direct to Brodit.

Yeah, ProClips is another popular solution but it's custom made for a phone, not universal 😟 And to make it even worse, you have to select it either for a naked phone or Otterbox case?!? I never carry my phone without a case, so forget about the first choice, which leaves me with Otterbox which I hate because of that built-in screen protector. My point, you spend so much money for a "custom" fit car holder which can't be used with anything else. So, I would still go for a universal car mount. Just my opinion 🙂 But I do appreciate you guys posting more choices for consideration, though I'm still NOT convinced that I've seen anything better than my Arkon mobile grip 2 😉

yes their product is only for several cases but they have a good product though

iMagnet Cradle-less is also a good one, at least its compatible with both iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6

I have tried different holders and mounts namely Proclip, Brodit and Bury, However, I find Strike Alpha Cradle one of the best ones. Although a bit pricey, it works really great! It also has an FME male connector and a charger.

@FoxFifth thanks so much for the RAM mount recommendation. I got one for the windscreen and its working so well. I swear the suction cup is so powerful it nearly dimpled my windscreen :-) It seems to be a robust industrial design and I look forward to it having a long life! The only disappointment is the arms just fall short by a fraction on being able to hold an iPhone 5S ... but no one ever said it would it just would have been a nice to have so when my wife drives my car her iPhone 5 can go in it also.
