Q: Help with updating iPad to new AppleID.

I updated my Apple ID to a new email address, and am trying to update this on my iPad. When I go to iCloud in settings, my email address is grayed out, and appears that I can only change this after entering my password. The problem is when I enter my password, my Old E-mail/Password combo is not recognized. Can anyone help?
