Q: what does "preparing for shipment" mean?

I pre-ordered an Iphone 6 plus and it says the expected delivery is 9/19, however it still says "preparing for shipment" on the orders page. What does this mean and when can i expect my iphone? THX!!!

If your expected delivery is 9/19, there is a very, very good chance that's when it will arrive.

it does mean that there is a little stock delay; but your order has begun. Your iPhone 6 is ready to travel after the "preparing for shipment"
