How do I deactivate the suggested pop up word list while typing e mail in Mac OS X Leopard

I tried to deactivate spell checking and auto spell checking in both Mac mail and in Mac system preferences. I still get a drop down list of suggested words as soon as I begin typing two letters. What could I be doing wrong? How do I get rid of this drop down list? Example: I begin typing a sentence in the text area of Mac Mail. I begin with a capital T, then I type the next letter I get a drop down list of 10 words to select from. Why is this happening?

I guess I have the same trouble on EL Capitan. I didn't even know the name of this function so I posted in a different category and you can see an image here:

Is this Predictive Text in EL Capitan?

I have Keyboard Maestro and the F5 key is set to Hide the front application.

If there is any text writing space in some of the apps I use, F5 makes this window popup.

In apps that don't involve writing F5 hides the app.

For example, a browser page, F5 hides the app.

But in Stickies F5 makes this window popup.

I have all the OS auto-correct and spelling functions turned off in System Preferences.

I've checked every app regarding spelling.

So how can I prevent this window from ever popping up anywhere?

Yeah. All those are off. Every possible setting in the OS is off. And I've gone through the apps and checked all the Spelling settings are off.

I've noticed that the Cmnd-H function does not work nor any "Hide menu" in the Menubar or dock in Stickies and some of my other apps. I cannot hide some apps in any manner.

Fireofox, Pages, iTunes -- all the Hide options work.

But some apps cannot be hidden. I wonder why that is.

I can begin typing a text message, just for instance then a word that I have messed up while using it in the past, either spelling it wrong or placing an inappropriate space or dash in a word then the next time I try to use that word the misspelling will show in a little box as the option to use here.. I do not know what this is and while I do use the suggestions that appear correct I would like to rid those others that are wrong. Ideas?
