Why can't I do duplex printing using Fuji Xerox?

I'm using a Fuji Xerox DocuPrint CP105 b on the iMac 27" late 2012 model, running on OS X Mavericks.

I recently changed from PC desktop to Mac, and I used to be able to do duplex printing on the PC, but I can't do it on the Mac. Is it because of the printer driver, or the Mac OS?

Furthermore, I cannot check my printer supplies, like printer ink levels.

Thank you in advance for all your help! 🙂

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

Hi shtng,

If you are not seeing certain print options when using your printer with your iMac, you may find the troubleshooting steps outlined in the following articles helpful (the first is primarily aimed at Mountain Lion, but should still apply to Mavericks):

OS X Mountain Lion: If your printer has features that aren’t in the Print dialog

OS X Mavericks: Set print options

Print drivers are supplied to Apple by the device manufacturer, it is up to each manufacturer (Xerox in your case) to determine what feature it decides to include. That being the case, in the event you find duplexing is not available in the driver supplied then you either need to contact Xerox and see if they have a solution or search for another driver.
