Sep 16, 2014 7:19 AM in response to don.cby léonie,Nikon D4s is supported by Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.05*, but only with Nikon RAW L format, see OS X Mavericks: Supported digital camera RAW formats
This update requires *Aperture version 3.4.5 or later (Aperture 3.4.5), or iPhoto version 9.4.3 or later.
You will have to update your MacOS X to 10.7.5 to be able to update the RAW support.
Apple never announces RAW support releases in advance, so we don't know, when the support for D810 will be released.

Sep 16, 2014 3:26 PM in response to Lannyby léonie,Only the link on the support page for the
Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.07
still links to the page with 5.06 version! I wish, they would get it right the first time!

Sep 16, 2014 3:37 PM in response to léonieby Lanny,Well, at least the Software Updates part in Mavericks worked correctly. Doesn't work at all in the national park version.

Sep 16, 2014 3:44 PM in response to léonieby Lanny,What's even crazier, is when you go to this page: http://support.apple.com/downloads/#aperture the 5.06 one is missing, the 5.07 one downloads a file with 507 in the title, but when try to install it, it says that answer one is already installed.

Sep 16, 2014 3:50 PM in response to Lannyby léonie,When you open the .RAWCameraUpdate5.07.dmg disk image, it contains the old 5.05 installer: RAWCameraUpdate5.pkg
You cannot install it, because it would be a downgrade. Its a complete mixup.
I wonder, if that is the reason that we had a few complaints about broken raw support after the last update.

Sep 16, 2014 4:41 PM in response to léonieby Lanny,Not to mention that a page of all updates, shouldn't exclude a reference to 5.06.
On a side note, have you noticed a sluggishness in page responses on the ASC site.

Sep 17, 2014 1:56 AM in response to Lannyby JoJu_SO,I was looking out for RAW compatibility update 5.07 for ages.
It's listed for Mavericks and contains D810 support. On the Mountain Lion site, however, are two 5.06 versions, the latest is supposed to support 5.06 and dated from 11th September. AppStore didn't find an update. Should I just install this 5.06 versin again and after that my 10.8.5 is supported or what are your suggestions.
I can't tell how I feel about Apple without using bad words, it's really sad
On a side note: Even copying the whole description of this RCU into the search field, I get flooded with stone age versions and no direct download link - this really *****.

Sep 17, 2014 3:00 AM in response to JoJu_SOby léonie,The D810 is listed for Aperture in Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support
To install the Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.06 you need at least
- OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 w/ iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 3.4.5
- OS X Mavericks 10.9 w/ iPhoto 9.4.3 or Aperture 3.4.5
So to be able to install the new Update 5.07, I expect at least the same requirements; or if this RAW supports comes as part of Yosemite, it will probably require Mavericks and Aperture 3.5.1 as minimum.

Sep 17, 2014 8:46 AM in response to léonieby JoJu_SO,Thanks léonie,
it just remains sad:
5.06 in two versions for Mountain Lion
5.06 and 5.07 for Mavericks - what now?
I downloaded 5.07 (with the link below Digital Camera RAW Compatibility Update 5.07 ) and installed it. As there is software around which requires Mavericks and doesn't install, if I have something different on the Mac, I expected it to be a working update. Wrong again.
Result "this RAW format is not supported" ***? If Apple tries to appear as bunch of lazy, incompetent and not-interested folks: Congratulations, Mission accomplished perfectly. Waiting for over 2 months for this update and now it's not shown in "Software-Updates", I have to find it myself in this support zone. And when typing the exact description…oh well, I could repeat endlessly. This company has become really bad.

Sep 17, 2014 9:11 AM in response to léonieby JoJu_SO,It gets better and better [/irony]
PreView.app does show me the D810 RAWs after the update.
I made a reboot. After that, iTunes and Safari were gone out of the dock. Aperture still refuses to show the RAW files. The very same RAW files, exported - visible and editable in Preview. Great work, really! iTunes 11.3.1 tells me, there's 11.4 available, update? Yes! Nothing.
Repaired Apertures database - nothing changed. All system requirements are fulfilled: 10.8.5 and Aperture 3.4.5
What is going on here?

Sep 17, 2014 9:14 AM in response to JoJu_SOby Allan Eckert,I installed that update on my Mac and suffered none of the results that you did.
I suggest you download and install EtreCheck from http://etresoft.com/etrecheck
Run EtreCheck and publish report here

Sep 17, 2014 9:21 AM in response to Allan Eckertby Lanny,The issue, as I mentioned in an earlier post, is that the update done with Software Update works, but the downloads from the Apple Support web site are screwed up and mis-labeled.
