Some keys on keyboard not working

This morning lots of the keys on my keyboard were not working at all or were spewing random letters out. After several reboots and following all the fixes I can find, now the space bar only works for a short time before becoming non-responsive. The 2 and 9 keys on the key pad are not working at all. I have had this problem once before and found a fix for it, but can't find it this time. It was something in library. Can anyone help?
