What type of ILink Firewire cable do I need in order to hook up a Sony DRV TVR38 camcorder?

I am attempting to download and edit 8mm videos from my Sony DVR TRV 38. I was told by Sony that I need an iLink cable IEEE 1394 4 pin Firewire. However, do I need an attaching 4, 6, or 9 pin? Where is the best place to purchase this cable?

iMac, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

If you have FW800 port on the Mac, you can use http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030104&p_id=328&seq =1&format=2

If you have a FW400 port on the Mac, you can use http://www.monoprice.com/Product?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030102&p_id=1991&se q=1&format=2

If you have a TB port only, use a TB-to-FW adapter and one of the above.

I have a TRV260 on which I use these.
