upgraded Aperture after mavericks download

Hi,

I upgraded from Lion to Mavericks (which went fine) and then found out that my Aperture 3.2 won't work with it. I upgraded free to the most up to date Aperture and again it seems fine, however all the folder icons, the Inspector, Import, Flickr, Facebook and email icons are in grey rather than coloured as with the previous version of Aperture. They seem to work, but it seems unusual. Is this how they are supposed to look?

Or am I going mad and they were like that on my old version!

They grey-in-grey look came with Aperture 3.3 and MacOS X 10.7 Lion.

Since Aperture 3.3 are the icons drab and gray - the Aperture 3.3 Release Notes are calling this:

Newly designed monochrome source list and toolbar icons.

The Release notes will tell you, what has changed since then:

Some like it, some don't, but there is nothing you can do about it, short of patching the Aperture application and replacing all icons side by the old coloured icons. I did it once, but it is a risky nuisance, and has to be done over and over again with each update.
