Q: I have a black screen. Phone will ring and sound when charging but black screen never lights up. Sorftware is up todate.

I have an iphone 4 but my screen has gone black. It will not light and I cannot turn it off. When a call come in it rings and when plugged in I can hear the charging beep, but won't light. Software is up to date. No acccidents still has protetive backing and in an otterbox. I tried resetting and pluggin to the computer, but nothing. What do I do?

    Try:

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost      

    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

    - Restore from backup. See:                                               

    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes

    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.                       

    If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.
