bootcamp + win 8 - can't unzip drivers / drive keeps repairing

Hi all,

Mavericks 10.9 + Mid 2011 i7 iMac 20gb ram

So, I have been able to install windows 8.1 to bootcamp. Problem I'm having is it keep getting the below two issues:

1 - I can't unzip the bootcamp drivers, keeps telling me the file may be corrupt (same zip file on mac unzips fine) I have re-downloaded the file several times, tried off usb etc (even the unzipped fails halfway through install stating some elements are corrupt)

Drivers being used:

Boot Camp Support Software 5.1.5621

2 - Windows 8 randomly give error stating the disk needs to be repaired, click here to restart. (has happened twice so far)

Anyone have similar issues?

Cheers

iMac, OS X Mavericks (10.9)

Thanks again,

I've created a Fat usb from another machine running windows and copied the extracted files from a new download of the bootcamp drivers.

I'm glad you mentioned Paragon, I now realise that's the reason I could see the Bootcamp drive when I booted back into OSX (was never the case with Win 7) So I'd assume that's the reason for the disk repairs. I'll make sure to disable it for that drive.

I'll give it another shot tonight, last time I booted back to windows it was totally corrupt and needed repair.

Will report tomorrow.

Thanks again

Cheers, ended up trying a fresh install last night and I got the 'windows cannot copy files' during install (from a dvd that worked before).

Finally got jack of it and just went back to windows 7 which is now working without issues. (had problems with the cd key reporting as invalid but I had used it before without issue.. little googling and issue resolved...

Still can't get 8 to work, but happy with 7

Might start a new thread, but only issue I have with win 7 bootcamp now is when it goes to sleep I wake it and my dual wallpaper changes back to mirror instead of extend and all my USB devices disconnect and reconnect.

I assume I can fix this easily in the power settings 🙂

Thanks for all the help.
