Is TuneUpMyMac a real app or virus?

I have an iMAC and an app appeared on my desktop called TuneUpMyMac? I am scared to open it for fear that t is a virus. Help!

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.5), Mac os x 10.9.4

Uninstall the crapware. It is totally worthless. All it is good for is causing problems.
