Two-Step Verification instructions incorrect

No where on this page does it say "Get Started" Re: "Under Two-Step Verification, select Get Started and follow the onscreen instructions." Thanks.

I already have 2-step turned on so I can't go to that screen and see the exact wording (it's different when the option is already turned on).


I don't remember the exact wording but it was fairly obvious after selecting Manage your Apple ID, signing in, and then selecting "Password and Security" from the options on the left. If you have done those steps and you don't see any options indicating a method to turn on 2-step verification, is it possible that you are located in a country where it isn't available? The country list is at the bottom of Frequently asked questions about two-step verification for Apple ID


How do I set up two-step verification?

  1. Go to My Apple ID.
  2. Select Manage your Apple ID and sign in.
  3. Select Password and Security.
  4. Under Two-Step Verification, select Get Startedand follow the onscreen instructions.
