hi there, i have an error on software update on my imac - it says "system extension cannot be used" system/library/extensions/appleUSBEthernethost.kext - please try re-installing - please help ..... as if i delete i wouldn know where to find it again?

You're question ended up in the Apple Support Communities Forum. I can ask the hosts to move it. Is iMac the proper Forum to move it to ?
A restart should restore the default setting.
After you delete it, download and install iTunes from the Apple web site. You do not have to delete your current iTunes.
The iTunes installer will install a fresh version of the "AppleUSBEthernethost.kext" file.
