Cannot access any shared drives at all (Mac to Mac)

Hi there,

We've got a small LAN set up in our home office, comprising two Mac Minis, one of which is used as a file server, the other a media server, I use a Macbook Pro and my Wife has an iMac - My Macbook Pro has no problem at all accessing shares on any of the other machines, including the iMac - The problem I have is that the iMac will not access any shares at all, all it does is sit and hang and say 'Connecting' - I've searched and searched and tried connecting in every which way that's recommended, i've disabled SMB sharing and i'm at a total loss - The iMac in question is running fully up to date Mavericks and everything is wired together with Ethernet (We only use WiFi for phones and tablets etc)

Does anybody have any ideas at all? Any help would be very much appreciated indeed, it's a real pain as we work from home and my Wife needs to be able to access the shared files.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew
