AA Rechargeable battery life

I have used the six pack of AA rechargeable batteries for my magic trackpad and Apple wireless keyboard for less than an hour a day for two years. Two of these batteries will no longer retain a charge. Does anyone know how long these batteries should remain usable and in service?

If the batteries are good quality, (Energiser, Duracell, Apple) they should be capable of being recharged a few hundred times. At the rate you say you use them, that means far longer than you claim, at least, if you are evenly using a pack of six. So the questions are, are they good quality batteries or is your charger charging them as it should.

For what it is worth, I use Apple batteries and an Apple charger. After they have been charged, the batteries last between 15 and 18 days and are in use for four hours a day. This has been fairly consistent for over a year.
