iPhone 6 Shipping Notification?

I was wondering if anybody else that preordered the iPhone 6 from the Apple Online Store have received shipping notifications. I'm getting a bit worried. When I ordered my phone, it still had the 9/19 delivery date. I ordered the phone and a case. I checked the order status screen every day to which both said they would be delivered on 9/19. On Monday, both items were listed as "Preparing for Shipment." Yesterday, I received a shipping notification for the case but not the phone, however, the email still said the expected delivery date for the phone was 9/19. Today, the phone is still "Preparing for Shipment." Should I be worried? I have heard there may be shortage issues... I've usually always just waited in line for my phone, but wanted to try this out and save the extra hours of sleeping.

If you're still showing an expected delivery of 9/19, I wouldn't worry yet. It can still ship late today and arrive by Friday evening. And it's potentially already in transit, they just haven't sent the updated information to the tracking page.

Don't worry, I ordered it at September 12 3AM Est time and my delivery date is sep.19 also. I have not received any info either but it should come on the day of or the day before the iPhone is being delivered. I've ordered my 5 & 5S and that is the experience I have had. Nothing to worry about!

If you got the email from Apple stating 9/19 delivery then stop worrying, you'll get it by 8:00PM Friday. My previous pre-orders have been delivered by 2:00PM. If the driver hasn't knocked on your door by 8:00PM then you can hit the panic button. Just don't be sleeping when he knocks on your door. He won't leave the phone unless you go to the door and sign for it.

No, the email was a shipping notification for the case only. I went to the thread and checked my credit card balance. I don't even have a pending charge for the phone. I do have a posted charge for the case, but nothing at all for the phone.... It's the order status screen that says the iPhone delivery date is 9/19, but it hasn't updated in over 2 days as it's still "Preparing Shipment."

If it makes you feel any better, my order says "Preparing for Shipment" also. And I am not worried. Apple has done pre-orders a bunch of times and they know what they are doing. Your phone will arrive Friday.

I asked this forum the same question a minute ago, I am having the same problem. This is my first iPhone pre order on launch night so i am hopeful it will arrive on friday.

Im not worried about it being delivered on Friday or not, I just want to make sure that I am able to authorize the signature for it online in case it gets to my home before I am able to get home from work at noon. 😐

My order still says "Preparing for shipment" as well, but I went on the UPS tracking page, selected "Track by reference," entered my mobile number as the "shipment reference," and ended up with a tracking number and a description that reads: "Order processed, ready for UPS." It also lists the package as UPS Next Day Air. I would assume that the phones are in the USA at a fulfillment center and will be shipped from there soon.

If you go to My Support Profile on apple. and you see that the iPhone 6 is listed as one of your products then your fine and it should be coming.

In times like these when UPS and FedEx are really busy with iPhone shipments, their notifications system lags a bit. As others have said, don't worry. It will show up.

Mine says the same on the apple website. Try this, it worked for me. Go to the UPS site below and enter your cell phone number as the reference number and choose US as the destination country and your zip code. When I did this it showed the tracking number for my phone and that it was shipped from China to Alaska today.

Your order likely has already shipped if your expecting your phone on September 19th. Apple seem to be lacking on the notifications. My order has the same status but it has already shipped. Thankfully I found a article from the iPhone 5 release that helped me track down my package it works! To look up your tracking number:

Go to the UPS Tracking webpageand click “Track By Reference”
Enter the phone number used for ordering the iPhone 6, enter the delivery date range, enter the delivery country (USA), and your delivery zip code, then click “Track”
Voila, your pre-order tracking number is revealed as is the current location of your iPhone 6

If you’re obsessive like many of us, you’ll probably want to save that tracking number so you can refresh it constantly on the 19th

Thanks for the heads up on the UPS site. I checked that it gave me tracking number and says it is coming UPS Next Day air. I am near Sacramento, California. It doesn't say where it is currently at. Probably will change this evening or tomorrow morning with more info.

click on "track by reference" --> enter to the most current shipping date --> enter mobile number into "shipment reference"

I do have a tracking number, but this is what it say "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status will be updated." When I try the above listed method I get this ">>>UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Verify your information and try again."
