Sep 18, 2014 6:13 PM in response to Ray Walkerby Tobin Richard,Are your messages to the group being sent as texts instead of iMessages?
The quick fix is to delete the conversation and start again but then you lose any history.
Here's how to fix it without losing the conversation history:
- Start a new conversation with the people from the conversation Apple broke.
- Add yourself as a recipient too.
- Send a message to the conversation.
- You will see your sent message.
- You will then "receive" a group iMessage. This shows up as another conversation to the one you just sent the message to.
- To stop future messages from yourself also being sent to yourself, you can now "leave" the group conversation you started.
Then just reply as normal to the conversation you "received" in step 5.
After a while iOS will actually merge the new conversation with the old conversation you were trying to save. I'm not sure what triggers it to do that.
