Sep 19, 2014 1:47 AM in response to rohith81090by steven.gh,I'm in Ghana, and not being able to switch to 2G is just crap. Aside the fact that iPhones have ****** batteries, being stuck on 3G or LTE is just going to make the situation worse. An update to bring back 2G is much needed.

Sep 19, 2014 7:13 AM in response to Satanatosby jmichaeli, wait! are you saying that Cellular Data cannot be turned off? i travel internationally several times a year. i have to use this option or the bill is astronomical!
-
Sep 19, 2014 7:29 AM in response to jmichaeliby Satanatos,The Cellular Data can be turned off. What we are discussing here is that you cannot switch between 3G and 2G network mode as the toggle for the 3G has been removed from iOS8.

you cannot manually update - Apple will release the update as in iOS 8 no Carrier update was released separately - so it's up to Apple to sort this out. And in all probability it will, sooner rather than later. It's a mistake Apple made that's all.
