I just updated to ios 8 on my iphone 5s, and all my albums arts and movie poster are gone! I also have tv series and there are only a few with the album art.
I updated itunes too (the new version compatible with ios 8) but it didn't solve the problem.
What can I do? Why I can still see some of my posters and albums art?

This happened to me too. I even removed an album and redownloaded it from the iTunes iOS app, and it still doesn't have any album art. I'm really curious to see if anyone has a solution for this.

I also have this issue. I've reset my entire iPhone 5, and now some of the art is returning. Any assitance would be SUPER appreciated!!!
P.S. I've tried to delete all the music off my device, but when I try to manually delete it off the device through Settings by deleting all the app data under usage, the entire app crashes.
I'm still waiting for an answer from apple... in my music I have problems with the artwork on my playlists, but the major problems are in my movies/series artwork!!
I hope the problem was part of the update, and if not I hope to get an answer soon.
do not see them in when in playlists - except when you go into each specific playlist.

Hi Guys, same annoying problem... I've read it can be solved by plugging iPhone into computer, erase all the music on it and then put all the music back. I'll try ASAP but I think should be a solution ;-)
Same problem here in Italy. Looks like it's some kind of a bug, I tried to delete some of the TV shows and sync than add and sync again with no changes. I also tried to update artwork within iTunes. No changes. Let's wait.
Hey I had the same problem, iPhone 5s, ios 8, and I was able to fix it by manually deleting the songs with the missing album art from my iPhone, then syncing it with my computer (through the lightning cable). This seems to have worked for the missing album art, but I don't have any movies on my phone so I don't know if it will fix that. Good luck!
I experienced the same problem. Erase the song and re-dowload it. You do not have to connect your phone to the computer or anything.
I am only having the trouble with my TV shows. All my artwork for music and movies shows up fine on my iPod. No artwork for TV shows. I deleted and re installed and still didnt work. It shows it in iTunes just fine, but not on my iPod..
I finally had to restore iOS 8 on my iPhone, and then I restored from my backup. Everything is fixed now. All music synced without issue, and iTunes even seemed more stable while syncing. I guess iOS 8 didn't install correctly the first time.
My iPhone seems to be running better now too.
I'd recommend reinstalling iOS 8, if you're having trouble. It fixed all of my problems, hopefully it can fix yours too.
DId you have tv series or movies with artwork also? I really don't want to restore until know if this work for series/movies too. 😕

I'm sorry, but I don't have any movies or tv shows with artwork to try for you.
I am also having this issue only with artwork for my tv series. Oddly only one show's artwork works. I attempted the restore and adding back the tv series and this did not fix it. I have tried resizing the artwork to match the one that is working, no go. Hopefully this gets resolved soon.
