Q: apple id password rejected after upgrade to IOS 8

Hi,

I seem to be having issues of logging into my iCloud account with my Apple ID on devices upgraded to IOS 8.  I'm experiencing this issue on both my 32 gig IPad Air and my IPhone 5?  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  Note:  I was able to log in using a Windows PC, have tried rebooting the IPad with same results?

    Bonehead me. After an hour of password frustration on an iPhone 5, plus reading each post here, I changed the WiFi hookup, which fixed the *problem* immediately. I now believe the iPhone wasn't hooked up to WiFi in the 1st place.

    I have decided that this is my last Apple product. I am tired of my iPad rejecting my password incessantly. One time it was because I had not paid for an automatic update (card had expired). Instead of just sending me a billing message, it cut me off from the internet. I don't use apple for my provider.  I am done with you apple.

    Thanks for the tip about deleting VPNs one or more was constantly trying to connect which was obviously blocking the connections. I got my AOL mail back and am now also able to access iCloud - thank goodness after several fruitless hours of attempts everything is back to normal !

    I updated my iPad yesterday  {Sept 20th} and it wouldn't accept my 4 digit passcode which I KNOW to be correct... and now today I updated my Mac to Sierra and again it won't accept my 4 digit passcode. 

    Added to that,  when I agreed iCloud  to authorise me through another device I didn't get the text or call to be able to respond!   Heavy sigh. 

    Finally,  to enable me to login here,   I said I didn't have any available devices to authorise me and THEN I received the option to be texted or called.  

    I very much hope this glitch is temporary!    iCloud has a lot of information stored on it that I don't want to loose...  it makes me feel uneasy.

    Yesterday I upgraded my iPad and ran in to this conflict with the 4 digit passcode..   It rejected it maybe three times...  I requested to be authorised by another device and didn't receive a call or text.

    Today when I updated my Mac to Sierra the same thing happened again,  it won't accept my four digit passcode which I KNOW to be correct.

    So,  I indicated that I didn't have a device to corroborate my ID and then it allowed me to choose a text or call and it accepted the temporary passcode.

    Now,  trying to reply to you Lance,  it has rejected my first attempt to reply to you.   Saying my password had been rejected.

    All this makes me feel uneasy.  There is so much information on iCloud which I don't want to be locked away from me.

    Hoping this glitch will be fixed soon.

    As I attempt a forth time to reply I received a red message saying reply unable to be saved,  try in a few minutes.

    Very unsettling.
