IOS 8 Airplay Mirror Missing - iPad Air

I also have this problem with iPad mini retina, no mirroring button. My iPhone 5 with ios 8 works fine and has the button, but my iPad Mini does not. I can get a few video apps to work, but my home screens and several of my video mixer apps, VJAY, and others no longer work.

Where is the mirroring button? IOS 8 has a problem and is not working right at this point, over 4 hours spent, and it does not work. Apple please fix this now!

I was able to restore it to IOS 7.1.2, and my mini works great again, all be it, I have to use wifi to connect to Apple TV 3, but the mirroring button is there. Go back while you can!!!!

I have this same issue with my iPad. My iPhone 5 with iOS 8 works just fine with airplay and mirror mode. I'm hoping this will be one the the fixes soon to be addressed by Apple. 😊

I had the same problem with an iPad2. After a few hours, suddenly the mirroring switch appeared. Up to know, I don't know why, but screen mirroring is now available on my iPad2 with iOS8.

Did you scroll down under Airplay in the .control Center to find Mirroring? It was hidden there on my iPad.

The option is there now. You guys were right, you need to scroll down in the AirPlay menu to access It. I feel pretty dumb if it was ther this whole time.

Unfortunately I still can't find the mirroring for my ipad4

All sorted. Had to turn off then on then it worked from the control centre.

What a pity that Apple made this to the control center software. Having seen other problems after IOS8 upgrade I immediately started searching for errors whereas I should have been looking for features!

Issues using airplay mirroring on iPad3 as well drops out every time I connect. No problem on Macbook however.

I had the same problem. The switch appears on my iphone which has OS7, but not on my ipad which I upgraded to OS8. I discovered that after I swipe up to display the switch to my AppleTV, I had to swipe up AGAIN on that little box to display the switch, allowing me to turn on mirroring.

Thanks to all for the help I finally got my airplay to work by swiping up selecting mirroring.

You need to scroll down it is under Apple TV (same window).

Scroll Down and you'll see the Mirror icon. It's just "hidden" because the window is so small. Just run your finger down and you'll see the toggle.
