Multitasking Gestures occasionally fails (ios 8)

i just upgraded to iOS 8, now gestures fails occasionally when in apps. I try to swipe up with four fingers, and pinch wih four fingers, but none of them works. I had to use the button to exit. Did anyone else experience this?

IM still in the 8.1 version I was going to ask if the 8.1.2 release fixed the problem, but after reading the above comment I can see i didnt.

After some experimentation i can say the problem is the rotation, I normaly use my ipad mini the upwards way locked and by using it that way the problem never shows up but, every time I unluck the rotation and rotate the screen the multigesture fails. have to work around it by pushing the notification down and up and the problem fixes until I "play" with the rotation again.

originaly tough that the problem was with apple apps because they are the ones I use the most, but after it sarted happening in third party apps I tested the rotation one and it happens almost all the time.

this really needs a fix or at least some acknowledgement from apple.

Hi, I'm using an iPad 3 on iOS 8.1.2 and the gestures are also not working correctly, when I use the 4/5 finger gesture to close an app it doesn't close, then if I reorient the iPad from portrait mode to landscape mode gestures then work, even if I return the orientation back to portrait mode gestures continue to work. I had hoped that Apple would have fixed this in there latest update, but sadly not. Maybe in the next update as there are a lot of entries and growing in this topic.
