Q: Multitasking Gestures occasionally fails (ios 8)

I have been having the same issue for months now. So incredibly unimpressed with Apple and IOS8.  I am having other issues with iOS8 also with no fix on subsequent releases.  I am really questioning how Apple justifies their pricing versus other prodects, for example, Samsung tablets which are rated better then Apple for a lot less money.

I Hadn't update to 8 from 7 for months and wait until 8.1.2  'cause I knew there'll be issues for a new release.

well, you don't have to restart every time the issue occurs. You can just go to Setting and turn off and back on of Multitasking Gestures feature.

but it is really a irritation when I bump to this issue.

i Want to request those development dep. bench runs very carefully before releasing any updates.

this is not very professional work and would lose tremendous number of customers including myself.

in fact, i kind of gave up IOS and bought non IOS device for my first smart phone.

Come on Apple, after so many months you can't fix this? You can't pretend people to pay luxury prices for your products then have this kind of issues unsolved!

EEnabling rotation lock is the only way to fix this bug, and most likely the only way it will ever be fixed.  Simply pathetic...

This only temporarily fixes the issue. It will happen to me several times an hour. I have to stop what I am doing and toggle the multitasking setting on an off.

When is this going to be fixed?

IIf you turn your iPad upside down till screen rotates turn it back so home button is on the right and gestures work again

NO need for that! Just push the notification center down a little and you can use multigesture again, until it bugs after some rotation uses.

I don’t what’s up at Apple but the whole story is a mess.

1. Apple should officially admit that they have a problem with Apple iPad Air 2 und should give the customers am small report about the current results.

2. Apple iPad Air 2 is a premium device. The customers exspect high quality. This is one problem of many (https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6538224).

My opinion, don’t buy Apple products at present. First they have to learn how to handle correctly with customers.

I went into settings and changed control panel to access in apps.  Open any app and sweep up to launch control panel

Resolved in iOS 8.2 beta 4.

It has been fixed in the last version 8.1.3 that was released yesterday.

For me the 8.1.3 introduced this bug for the first time. The only "fix" is that even the Control panel stoped working. What a shame.

SStill not working for me.  My whole screen seems less responsive to pokes and jabs in apps.
