Oct 9, 2014 9:23 AM in response to theborgvby ScottNY71,I've recently discovered that simply swiping down slightly from the top to bring down the Notification Center "curtain" just a hair and then swiping it back up, will re-enable the multitasking gestures. You don't have to swipe down a lot or all the way. It seems to me to be the fastest way of re-enabling them.
Has anyone tried the iOS 8.1 beta to see if it fixes the issue? I'm following another thread about home button issues on iPhones and 8.1 beta fixes that problem. Maybe it fixes this one too?

Oct 17, 2014 10:49 AM in response to ScottNY71by Sengadog,For what its worth, my gestures too were failing on a random basis, pulling down notification and putting it back made gestures work again as did switching gestures on and off in settings. However, I decided to do a set as new via itunes, choosing not to restore from a backup when it restarted, so i had a complete fresh new ioad air. i then logged on to icloud and manually re downloaded my apps, so far, 5 days in, no failing of gestures at all, seems to have resolved itself, so far so good, lets see what 8.1 update brings on monday.

Oct 21, 2014 1:39 AM in response to aram89by Jeff-Man,If anything, it seems to be worse be worse in 8.1.
It only happened 2-3 times whilst on 8.0, but has happened 3 times already on 8.1. Not the worst bug in the world as is easily reinstated, but we shouldn't have to!
Any acknowledgement from Apple with confirmation they are working on it?
