Nov 26, 2014 5:07 AM in response to wastedsunsetsby wtfdoineedusername,Well, they didn't as far and actually I don't see any changes for better with the new iOS 8 updates. But maybe, as it was with Vista, updates won't fix OS which is just badly built.

Dec 5, 2014 10:41 AM in response to Shingby SteveOnPeas,Just add to that, was looking for solutions but clearly still a problem which I thought would have been sorted in the updates. Using Air 2 with 8.1.1. And now my wife's orig inal iPad mini is doing it since I upgraded her from 7 to 8.1.1 - fool that I am.

Dec 13, 2014 4:52 PM in response to theborgvby SteveOnPeas,Found this works for my Air 2 and wife's mini, crazy though it seems - turn the iPad orientation upside down - then gestures work again. Weird but works.

Dec 14, 2014 5:38 PM in response to theborgvby Primex08,IM still in the 8.1 version I was going to ask if the 8.1.2 release fixed the problem, but after reading the above comment I can see i didnt.
After some experimentation i can say the problem is the rotation, I normaly use my ipad mini the upwards way locked and by using it that way the problem never shows up but, every time I unluck the rotation and rotate the screen the multigesture fails. have to work around it by pushing the notification down and up and the problem fixes until I "play" with the rotation again.
originaly tough that the problem was with apple apps because they are the ones I use the most, but after it sarted happening in third party apps I tested the rotation one and it happens almost all the time.
this really needs a fix or at least some acknowledgement from apple.

Dec 17, 2014 3:41 AM in response to theborgvby WeeWill,Hi, I'm using an iPad 3 on iOS 8.1.2 and the gestures are also not working correctly, when I use the 4/5 finger gesture to close an app it doesn't close, then if I reorient the iPad from portrait mode to landscape mode gestures then work, even if I return the orientation back to portrait mode gestures continue to work. I had hoped that Apple would have fixed this in there latest update, but sadly not. Maybe in the next update as there are a lot of entries and growing in this topic.
