How Do I add and Purchase Extra Storage Space on my iPod Touch

Hey Trisha, As Roaminggonome stated you cannot expand the memory or storage space on an iPod. But you may be able to compress some info. If you have a load of music on your iPod, do you reduce the bit rate? If not... do that, if you reduce it to 128kbps you can free up about 1/3 to 1/2 of the storage space on your iPod and at that rate you really don't notice the difference is sound quality, plus it helps slow battery drain. Connect with your computer, from the iPod summary page go down to Options and check Reduce bit rate then select 128kbps. If you already have done this, then it's back to deleting stuff you don't really use or need. Hope this helps. Good luck, Cheers.

Hey Trisha, Sorry, using the wrong language, but that is what you are looking for! Check it and use 128kbps. As I said if you have a load of music it should reduce the storage space of the music by about 1/3 to 1/2. May free up enough space so you can upgrade. Good luck, Cheers. Oh, if you're wondering; this only effects the bit rate on your iPod, nothing is changed on your computer.

You cannot add storage capacity to an iPod/ipad/iphone at all.

The only way to create more space is to delete content from your iPod.
