Sep 17, 2014 7:40 PM in response to nickfromgrayslakeby Vermyndax,I am trying to do the same because I set up my childrens' accounts when they required them to be 13 or over. Now that Family Sharing is working, I'd like to fix that. Family Sharing is showing them as adults.
If you go in to "Password and Security" you can edit the dropdown, but if you click Submit it says "Cannot change birthday at this time." I'm guessing we'll have to call Apple Support.

Sep 30, 2014 6:49 AM in response to Vermyndaxby jasminefromaurora,I'm having the same issue. Has anyone gotten an answer yet? I'm wondering if I am going to have to get them new ID's and start from scratch.

Dec 25, 2014 9:21 AM in response to nickfromgrayslakeby damonallison,I just did the same thing - I forgot to change the year of my child's birthdate from 2014 to 2004 when setting up her account. According to Apple's Family Sharing documentation, the birthday can't be changed after the account is created. It's unfortunate that it can't be changed. I guess I'll just have to live with her account being incorrect.
IMHO, all account information should be editable - except *perhaps* your unique identifiers (Apple Id, for example).
Family Sharing and Apple IDs for kids - Apple Support
"Enter your child's birthday and tap Next. The birthday for a child's account can't be changed after the account is created. Be sure to enter the correct date."
