Sep 22, 2014 7:15 PM in response to spear59by aaplontop,I had the same slow/stuck WiFi page load issues on a 4s, 5s, and iPad Air.
After renewing the DHCP lease on each device, all works great!

Sep 23, 2014 10:20 AM in response to yeekonby DocRoxAll,So...Apple, one question...are you going to patch this? I shouldn't have to change my router at home, and I CAN'T change my router settings at McDonalds, Starbucks, etc...ALL places where this symptom I'm experiencing shows up. You changed how wifi connection/handshakes work...its documented you did...something went wrong...it didn't work...you used production release as a beta test...it failed...what will be your response? I must say, this is something I'd expect of Microsoft, or some OTHER software vendor I came to Apple/Mac, to avoid...I sure hope this is an anomaly not a trend.

Sep 23, 2014 12:12 PM in response to yeekonby DocRoxAll,Apple, please come and bail me out, I'm at the Nashville Metro Jail, for trying to reboot the router at Starbucks...you said I should do this...I tried, and they had me arrested! (just kidding, but please, folks, router changes to channels, auto, etc...come ON! These routers aren't the problem, its IOS8 that is the problem here, the same-said routers worked FINE in their configuration, before I loaded IOS8. Many devices at home and at work, use the router, and are NOT Apple devices (my MacMini, running Maverick, runs just fine...it didn't break...what if my dickering with the router breaks THAT?)

Sep 23, 2014 4:34 PM in response to cbdocby addyalex2000,I was hitting a similar problem and changing the channel to channel 149 gave me relief and I am back online , this is in no way a solution but might give you some relief.Things we know have worked
1. Change Channel to 149 --> Worked for some
2. Change DNS to 8.8.8.8 --> Worked for some
3. Change WEP to WPA 2 --> Worked for some
Some users have reported 2.4Ghz is good.

Sep 23, 2014 5:48 PM in response to DocRoxAllby godsidekurt,Once again only a temporary fix. As I mentioned earlier, this worked UNTIL I connected with another device to the 5GHZ network...instantly the ipad was back to not functioning properly and my speedtest app failed to run the test. Seems like the ipad wants to be the only one on the 5GHZ network and wont play nicely with others.

Hey DOCROXALL, try connecting with another device now to your 5GHZ and see if the pipes remain unclogged.

Sep 23, 2014 6:51 PM in response to yeekonby sunilhere,Hello Yeekon,
Follow the below instructions & see if that helps to address your wi-fi issues :-
Navigate to Privacy - Location Services - System Services ( at the bottom ) - WiFi Networking.
By default Wi-Fi Networking will be on .. turn it off.
It worked for me, hope it will work for you too

Sep 23, 2014 9:58 PM in response to sunilhereby nil.88243,This didn't work for me.
Neither do I have a 5 GHz router. I have a .n 2.4 GHz router. My channel is auto.
This is still so broke :-(.
I have already hit my 3G data plan limit......all thanks to ios8.
iCloud is broke too. It randomly asks me for password and does not accept the correct password. The phone becomes extremely hot during that time.
I downgraded successfully to 7.1.2, but my 7.1.2 backup from icloud would not restore. First time I didn't backup to a laptop, before upgrading.....NEVER again will I make this cardinal sin again :-(

Sep 24, 2014 1:11 AM in response to nil.88243by kingmorgan,i also reverted to 7.1.2 and no issues but ICloud could not restore maybe because of the new icloud drive I activated.......my mistake.....anyway I am still working with Snow Leopard. Please Apple, take care just a little of professionals and not only of Facebook and Twitter community.....thanks
