Volume controls don't work in Messages iOS 8. And music stops playing when I open Messages

Same here... My Bose MiE2i 's remote or mic no more responds.. After iOS8 upgrading!!!!

Hi, I'm finding that with the new iOS 8 My music is stopping mid song for no reason. Is anyone else finding this and what can i do to fix it? My job requires me to use full songs and its very frustrating.

I listen to Bloomberg radio every morning. I get about 15-30 seconds of the show, then a fade out to oblivion, all after the iOS 8 update.

For all of you, the first thing to do when these things happen after an update, is to close all your open apps and reset. This will cure your ills 99.9% of the time:

Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).

Reset your device: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until the screen goes black and you see the Apple, then let go. (No data loss)

Experience 😉 And really, that reset procedure is just like rebooting your computer. Any time things don't work right or just seem wonky, you can do that and it will straighten things out. Glad to hear it worked for you!
