Same issue for iPad with Retina for LEAP on iOS8. After update stopped working although all credentials are ok.

    Hope Apple responds.

Apple will not be responding here; this forum is manned by volunteer users like you. If you want to contact Apple you will have to call them or use the Contact Us links at the bottom of every page of this forum.

LEAP is disabled by default in iOS 8 due to security concerns.

I have not yet seen how to enable it, just that it is disabled by default.

Cisco LEAP is still there. You can enable it using the Apple Configurator, you need to create a WLAN profile with LEAP enabled (and apply the profile to your iPhone/iPAD, e.g. by connecting the device to the USB port of your Mac).

Apple's knowledge base said though that it had been disabled because there is a known attack against it, so they did have a reason not to use it by default....

An attacker could have impersonated a WiFi access point, offered to authenticate with LEAP, broken the MS-CHAPv1 hash, and used the derived credentials to authenticate to the intended access point even if that access point supported stronger authentication methods. This issue was addressed by disabling LEAP by default,” the Apple advisory says.

LEAP (lightweight extensible authentication protocol) is an older authentication protocol developed by Cisco and used for authentication on wireless networks. The protocol has known weaknesses and is susceptible to offline password cracking.

    Hi,

There's a way to fix this problem by using Apple configurator.

You need to install it on your Mac or Window then run it to create a profile to have leap wifi profile. Then install it into your iPhone or iPad.

I have fixed my problem by using this way.
