Sep 18, 2014 12:00 PM in response to Swordfiszby Soul Nights,OK this is good and bad.
The good thing it doesn't seem to be just one car manufacturer or model otherwise it could be an expensive/impossible firmware upgrade for the car.
The bad thing is Apple have got something seriously wrong here and need to fix it quickly.

Sep 18, 2014 12:11 PM in response to dsjankelowby Griff1973,I'm experiencing very similar problems.
My iPhone 5S connects to my car (Nissan Qashqai) but I cannot make calls via bluetooth.
My partner has an iPhone 5 and cannot even connect to her car (Mini), Both phones worked perfectly with both of the cars before the iOS 8 update.
The annoying thing about this issue is that you would expect nowadays that connecting to your car's Bluetooth system is a fundamental feature supported across all phone hardware. I certainly hope that Apple addresses this issue quickly.
Very disappointed!

Sep 18, 2014 1:10 PM in response to dsjankelowby Johnathan Burger,Works perfectly fine with my Ford sync.
Apple does not make any of the hands free stuff in your car.
Iit's not Apple's responsibility to ensure the iPhone works with any manufacturers product.
Contact the maker of the hands free stuff or automobile manufacturer who sold it to you and ask when they are going to provide a firmware update to their equipment.

Sep 18, 2014 2:43 PM in response to Johnathan Burgerby Medas79,I have a Ford Kuga and my iPhone 5s (after upgrade to ios 8) does not work with hands free device. I have the same problem reporter at the beginning.
I think that it is not a firmware problem of the car, because with the iPhone 5s of a friend (also upgraded to ios 8) works without problems.

Sep 18, 2014 2:59 PM in response to dsjankelowby sturmherr,I'm having exactly the same issue with my Mercedes C-Class (2009) and an iPhone 5C with iOS 8.

Sep 18, 2014 2:58 PM in response to dsjankelowby Griff1973,★HelpfulI also disagree that it's a problem for the car manufacturers. The manufacturers of phones and cars must conform to the relevant protocols specified in the Bluetooth standards. I think this is definitely a bug that will eventually be fixed in an update. According to the media today there is already acknowledgement of a bug in HealthKit which will be addressed soon so hopefully any subsequent update will address this issue.

Sep 18, 2014 4:52 PM in response to dsjankelowby smarcelinos,Same issue, iPhone 5s (iOS 8) Bluetooth is not connecting to Volkswagen Beatle (2013) or Volkswagen Jetta (2009). I hope apple will address this issue!
