iPhone 5 iOS 8 Bluetooth issues with Audi A1

Apon upgrading to ios8 my iPhone connects to my cars bluetooth car kit(Audi A1 2012) but every time I place a call from my car the call drops from my car and i am only able to speak on my phone. Sometimes as my phone connects to the bluetooth kit my car dials the last number in my call log but in fact its not calling at all it just says it is on my cars display...

Please if anyone is having the same issue or knows what to do

Ok, So I upgraded to ISO 8 and this caused lots of problems to my 5S. Apple released 8.1 and my phone crashed (App hanging, and partial app downloads), in addition to problems to verify and sign in on icloud, and bluetooth connectivty problem at the core of it all. They have released 8.2 which I have downloaded and have cleared up problems created with the 8.1 version of IOS 8, hopefully when I delete my 4S and 5s (Again) from my Kia Cerato and Sportage it will bring my phones back to its operational state and restore that supreme level of confidence that I boast about and most important pay for. UPDATE TO FOLLOW SOON ON BLUETOOTH ERROR.

I'm also having issues with my 5S connecting to Peugeot 307 handsfree bluetooth, since updated to iOS8. Everything was fine for 3,5 years until now with iOS8!!

Deleted the phone in the car settings, as well as in my iPhone, set to forget old 307 connection.

All set as new, as the very beginning, connection is fine, but NO sound heard in car speakers (either voice calls or any else sounds).

My car speakers are fine. Listening to radio or CD music works just fine.

This morning updated to iOS 8.0.2 hoped this would finally solve the issue - problem is still unsolved!!

Also reset the phone - no cure.

Apple, what is happening with you?

Shame.

Same problem here with a Nissan Pathfinder (Spain) and also in another car using a Parrot Handsfree. People can't hear me, but the streaming of music seems to work fine. Another thing is that sometimes the handsfree announces that there is a call when there isn't any, and it gets stuck there... I hope Apple fixes this issue soon...

iOS 8.0.2 did not fix this issue!

I have a 4S trying to make outgoing calls in a Mazda-3 via BT but still see the same issue as iOS 8. I can connect to my car BT but only on a few of my numbers will it connect the audio via the BT.

Apple is ignoring this issue, no mention in the bug fix list posted with the update.

My next phone will be an Android!

Apple you suck!!!!!

Incorrect. This is not true for everyone. All kinds of caveats…an iPhone reboot, a sync with iTunes, an iOS 8.0.x update, for starters…all these things turn Bluetooth connectivity back OFF to a non-functional state for nearly everyone within this thread. I wish you were right though.

Somehow dropping iOS 8.0 on top of my iPhone 6 Plus (due to the iOS 8.0.1 debacle) has brought Bluetooth connectivity back. What I'm doing now is something I've never done before…I'm not updating to iOS 8.0.2, am not rebooting the iPhone, and I won't sync with iTunes. Audio still streams over Bluetooth just fine, and somehow phone calls work both ways (receiving/initiating) where they didn't before.

It has fixed it for the vast majority after reading through this and many other threads. I have rebooted a few times since doing this and also updated to 8.02 this morning and it is still working perfectly for me. Now given what happened with 8.01, it may also have a dependence on the model of iPhone - I have the 5. For those that are complaining of this issue, they should at least try this. It is a bug but if it can be addressed without a software update, there is no guarantee that Apple will fix this in a coming update so I don't think it makes sense to hold off for a fix without trying this.

I'm pretty sure nearly everyone here has tried the Network Reset and/or Reset All, rebooted, and still have issues. Reading thru the 18-19 pages of this thread, just about everyone here with an issue has tried one or both of those. My only issue is a blanket statement of "just do a reset all settings and it *will* fix your issue like it did for me."

Many of us have done that, sometimes several times, and it doesn't fix the problem. I'd just hate for someone experiencing this issue to get even more angry following the advice of "reset all settings and it WILL fix your issue" and then it doesn't…which is what happened to me.

Only fixed it temporarily for me and I tried it twice. Worked for about a day and then stopped working again in three different cars. Really frustrating. I'm hoping it gets fixed in 8.x.x.

I could be wrong but I think it stops working in the cars AFTER I paired some other device. After doing the resets, I immediately paired the cars and it seemed to be ok. I need to test it but think pairing it with my Jambox AFTER pairing it with the cars messed it up again. Perhaps, pairing with a different kind of device corrupts the settings and they need to be wiped before the handsfree will work again. Just a theory.
