Sep 21, 2014 10:46 PM in response to dsjankelowby vdbv,Same here, with iPhone 5S, iOS 8.0 and 2012 Citroen C3 Picasso.
Everything bluetooth-related worked fine in this car with iOS 7 and even earlier with iPhone 4S and iOS 6.
Now, having upgraded to iOS 8, not only I can't talk via the car's bluetooth, the car's display also always shows my name and phone number each time someone is calling me, instead of the name and the number of the person who is calling.
This is definitely the iOS 8 issue that Apple must address in 8.0.1.

Sep 21, 2014 11:26 PM in response to dsjankelowby trollius,On an other threat it could be fixed by
deleting pairing on both ends (forget device on iPhone)
and a soft reset (holding Homebutton and Sleep for at least 10 s).
Hope that works for somebody.
PS:
A developer said here above, with the Gold-beta of iOS 8 everything works fine.
So, the bug should be related to the public version of iOS8.

Sep 21, 2014 11:43 PM in response to dsjankelowby TSnow1,I Tried the reset all settings option and that worked for my phone and cars. My wife has the same phone and car and hers did not work. We are dumbfounded that it worked on mine but not hers. Let's hope Apple addresses this soon.

Sep 22, 2014 12:56 AM in response to pj.klby Koen Van Tichelen,I had exactly the same issue: "reset network settings" didn't help, but after "reset all settings" my iPhone worked again perfectly in my car. I even didn't need to re-pair the phone and the car. Thanks for the tip!

Sep 22, 2014 5:17 AM in response to Bramsonby johnnyrj,BRamson: have you tried erasing your iPhone and installing iOS from scratch?
sometimes the backup file / restore process gets corrupted, you should restore iPhone as new

Sep 22, 2014 5:48 AM in response to johnnyrjby EdHans,A wipe/restore may not fix it. I got an iPhone 6 and set it up fresh. This is an iOS 8 issue. Fortunately for some they can get it to work, but there is definitely something going on.

Sep 22, 2014 5:57 AM in response to EdHansby johnnyrj,But most were able to solve it. Not saying there is no bug.
Every one still having problems should repost their make and model for both cars and iPhone alongside whether they did an OTA (over the air upgrade), iTunes update or clean install.

Sep 22, 2014 6:24 AM in response to dsjankelowby mltrujillo1990,I had the same problem with my iPhone 6 in my 2014 Scion tC. The audio worked fine for music, but when I tried to use the screen for calls, it would either freeze, the buttons wouldn't be available, or it would say "No Service" even though I had full service. I tried everything that I was finding online including forgetting the car bluetooth on my phone, resetting network settings, changing from bluetooth from car to bluetooth from phone, removing the pairing and re-pairing, etc. and nothing was working. I finally found someone that said to not just reset network settings, but to reset all settings. So, I gave it a whirl and it fixed everything. The phone paired right up and everything works as it should now. The only minor issue is that you will have to go back in and redo your previous settings (ringtone, wallpaper, touch ID, passwords, etc.) It doesn't delete any data, pictures, apps, or anything like that - just general settings.
I would still delete the pairing from both the car and the phone first and then reset all settings.
Good luck!!

Sep 22, 2014 6:45 AM in response to dsjankelowby scarx,Same problem with 2014 BMW 1-Series F20 and iPhone 5S iOS 8. Can connect via Bluetooth and view my phone book and recent calls but BMWs display shows me no network connection (0 bars) and I am not able to make calls. iPhone display shows perfect signal strength. With iOS 7 everything worked perfectly fine.

Sep 22, 2014 7:03 AM in response to johnnyrjby SSi3,Car: 2010 BMW 328xiT w/iDrive
Phone: 4S
Update: iOS8 OTA
Still can't make or receive a call, it pairs no problem, all contacts download to the car, but when making a call it just won't kick over to the speakers, the phone makes the call in silence. When receiving a call, it rings through the speakers, but you can't answer it. I did find that if you listen to a voicemail while paired, it plays it over the audio speakers tho...weird...
I tried everything mentioned in this thread... forgetting and re-pairing both devices... reset network settings... reset all settings, no dice.
My partners 5S iOS8 OTA pairs and calls just fine in the same car.
Guess i shouldn't have upgraded a 4S like many of the tech blog warnings out there
