Sep 24, 2014 1:11 PM in response to dsjankelowby eduardfrombratislava,This is terrible. APPLE was not supposed to start messing with a system, that was working fine. The bluetooth handsfree system MUST work reliably. It is a matter of safety in traffic. My car is a 2012 Mazda CX-7. With iOS7, everything was sweet. After upgrading to iOS8, a disaster struck. After dialing a number, the music playback stops, but the sound from the phone goes to the phone itself, and not to the cars system. When I try to change it, it falls back. This can be selected to saty only after the call is answered. So instead of paying attention to the traffic, I have to listen to the phone until the call is answered, and then I have to switch over to the cars system. Horrible. APPLE, you should know better than that. NEVER TOUCH A RUNNING SYSTEM. As far as I know, iOS7 was OK in the bluetooth part. Why did you mess with it? I hope no accidents will be caused by this. I AM CALLING FOR A FAST UPDATE, for Gods sake !!!!

Sep 24, 2014 1:39 PM in response to dsjankelowby EdHans,Well, the good news is, this is getting attention in the main stream media, so I am sure it is on Apple's radar.

Sep 24, 2014 4:10 PM in response to dsjankelowby J Lewiston,i have the same problem
using an after market kenwood gps/multimedia device with bluetooth /phone capability DNX6990HD in my ford fusion.
iOs 7 with my iphone 5s > no problem
"upgrade" to iOs 8.0 > phone bluetooth connects to the car fine, can play music, But it will not make outgoing calls.
re-pairing did not help.
in the same car, using another iphone still running iOs 7 the bluetooth and phone hands free works fine.
therefore > it's iOS 8 !!!!!!!!!!
hello Apple, until you fix this, post an update so we can go back to iOs 7 > you have just disabled millions of hands free phones > and in most states it is illegal to put your hands on a phone in a car

Sep 24, 2014 5:14 PM in response to dsjankelowby fmsamos,I have an iphone 5s and updated the phone Thursday.
I have a 2014 Accord. Can't connect bluetooth for calls, but can play music from the phone.
I've seen some of the comments-is this an Apple issue, or car manufacturer issue?
It's absolutely ricidulous, whatever it is, and I hope it's fixed. Soon.

Sep 24, 2014 6:09 PM in response to fmsamosby PicoKane,This is not a car issue! I have the same problem with my Mazda-3, it worked fine with my 4S iSO7 and also tested the BT connection and phone calling with a Nexus-5 phone. It was (4S iOS7) and is (Nexus-5) all good. But after the iOS8 update and a "Reset All Settings" (pain in the *** doing a reset all settings) I can connect to my car BT but can only make out going calls via the BT audio on a few of my numbers. It seems like it randomly connects via the BT audio, not consistent.
Apple,
I have an idea, why don't you let us go back to iOS7 for the 4S, 5C, and 5S? When you get this all working and tested then we might switch to iOS8.x.x.
Let us know.
Thanks

Sep 24, 2014 7:24 PM in response to Tin-Hatby Skape4321,Iphone 6 here same issues as above. Spent 2+ hours with applecare on the phone, after a full phone wipe and setup as new phone the phone worked for 2 days with bluetooth then started again. I didnt do anything to it at work today besides move it around my desk. It worked on the way to work and not on the way home.

Sep 25, 2014 5:56 AM in response to dsjankelowby sarahfromhereford,I had this exact problem on my 2014 Audi A4. I deleted the phone from the settings on the car, then reset all settings on the iphone by going into General, Reset,Reset All Settings. I then paired the phone with the car from scratch.
Problem resolved.

Sep 25, 2014 6:08 AM in response to sarahfromherefordby G-Rex,Please report back after you reboot your iPhone and/or sync with a computer & iTunes. I'd be willing to bet it breaks again after doing either of those things.

Sep 25, 2014 6:14 AM in response to G-Rexby Donkas,I have rebooted a couple of times since this change and it is still working fine. I don't believe I have tried an iTunes sync since though.

Sep 25, 2014 6:52 AM in response to dsjankelowby oms14,iPhone 6, iOS 8
2011 Acura MDX
Tried unpairing, deleting paired devices, resetting network, and resetting all. My iPhone can connect via Bluetooth, but is unable to reliably make/receive calls. When I can make calls, the audio is garbled with significant interference (never had this issue before with my previous pre-iOS8 iPhone). The phone interface buttons (call, hangup) on my car do not work reliably with the phone, and the phone often does not disconnect on the rare times I'm able to place a call.
Very frustrating.

Sep 25, 2014 8:47 AM in response to dsjankelowby tankesly,My parrot ck3200 and 3300 both drop calls after a short time when using the parrot devices only after installing iOS 8. Very disappointed with Apple on this software release after hearing about other issues. If it weren't for my wife and kids, I would never own an Apple device, but we have 6 of them.
