Sep 27, 2014 1:26 PM in response to Skape4321by Corper,Done reset all settings and worked, then updated to 8.0.2 and didn't work again. Reset all settings AGAIN and it worked, partly.....
What I get now is when a call comes in the car say call failure but call still goes through, so still a handshake issue going on with calls.
When playing music via bluetooth I now get some weird phasing going on where it sounds like the volume is drifting in and out....
Think I will put an invoice into to Apple's R&D dept for doing their woe for them!

Sep 27, 2014 2:49 PM in response to dsjankelowby EdHans,Well, fortunately for me, 8.0.2 seems to have fixed it. My iPhone 6 is now working with my 2013 Mini Cooper Countryman. I know some have said that it will work for a little while then quit, so I'll be monitoring it.
I didn't do anything except delete the pairing and redo it. I didn't reset any iPhone settings.

Sep 28, 2014 4:16 AM in response to EdHansby pthielen,Except the article says it is only affecting people using the iPhone 6, which of course isn't true at all. My 5s won't connect any longer to Bluetooth either. I really hope Apple fixes this soon; it is a really bad bug. I wonder what they did to break Bluetooth (and why).

Sep 28, 2014 10:39 AM in response to Corperby bpuskari,BLUETOOTH in iOS 8 seems completely BROKEN!!!
After updating my iPhone 5S to iOS 8, (even after update to 8.0.2.), bluetooth service in the phone is lost!!
Tried everything, reset network settings, deleted bluetooth devices, renamed iPhone, restarted it (soft reset), NOTHING!!!
I can't connect iPhone with my car bluetooth handsfree.
And that's not all! My iPhone can't even connect with my iPad, so I can forget about Airdrop as well!!!!
So frustrating!!!! As if BT service in the phone is broken!!!
Do I need to say, everything worked flawless in iOS 7!!
what is happening with Apple?!? This lasts too many days already, for how long more should we wait for its reaction?!

Sep 28, 2014 12:29 PM in response to pthielenby donbo,My 5S, upgraded to iOS 8 on day one, didn't successfully pair via Bluetooth with my car until 8.0.2 (see my previous). I have no idea why it started working, but "Hands Free" operation has been working normally for the past two days - just as it did with iOS 7 (and with iOS 6 on my 4S).

Sep 28, 2014 9:46 PM in response to dsjankelowby jsl1360,Two things:
1. Went to Apple and they told me what they've been telling everyone. That its my car, which we should all know is an absolutely absurd response. Anyway, long long long long story short - I had a terrible Genius Bar experience. The way they do things now is to help 2-3 people at once and no longer give you the one on one customer service they used to. Disappointing. They restored my phone and it was the first time I've seen iOS 8 work with my car Bluetooth to make calls. Though, after setting the rest of my phone up, all hope was lost as I was back to the initial problem of audio dropping back to my phone. Genius bar rep had a terrible attitude, reset my phone without even asking or telling me what he was doing and overall had a stice up attitude.
2. Why is this not getting more national / media coverage. All we hear from Apple is its our car. And all the reps at the store tell me they haven't heard of this issue. I find it hard to believe that people at Apple (Tim cooks friends, Johnny I've family, etc. who use the phones aren't having issues and reporting to them)
im seriously thinking about going to android or something else and I'm a HUGE APPLE FANBOY ;(
this is makes me so sad
I WANT STEVE JOBS BACK

Sep 28, 2014 9:52 PM in response to dsjankelowby jsl1360,Aside from the Bluetooth issue, this is the least user friendly iOS to date for a few reasons which I can extrapolate on if anyone cares. I'm just sad to see things going this way. I'm just venting now though lol

Sep 28, 2014 11:18 PM in response to dsjankelowby neo_andersson,IPhone 6 ios8.0.2 and Audi Q7 BT not working at all.
Tried reset settings, did not solved anything.
Phone is paired with car but incoming calls is not routed to car at all. When i receive a call, phone rings but on Audi MMI display i get nothing and music is still playing as if there is no incoming call. I answer from phone, call is routed to phone, when i hang up my Audi is showing on the screen that i am talking to the person i just hang up with and radio is muted.
To get my Audi out if this i need to turn bluetooth OFF on the phone.
This is absolutelly insane. Apple, bluetooth car systems have been around for years, how can you manage to break this function.
Now i am using apple headset in my 50k$ car with my 800$ iphone6. Is outrageous Apple.
The cheapest phone on the market can easily handle bluetooth calls in any car, Apple did it until few weeks ago.
You really need to fix this and fire the bluetooth implementation manager for ios8.

Sep 29, 2014 5:20 AM in response to jsl1360by neo_andersson,I hope that Apple is reading this thread.
IOs8 is such a pain, i get notifications with huge delay, sometimes i see the banner for new message, open it, hit reply and then i get the sound notification for the same message.
1 out of 10 apps crashes including system apps like calendar.
I can not create an entry in calendar with end time the next day because when i try to save it calendar crashes, i created it on my macbook, i see it in the phone calendar but if i try to open it again calendar app crashes.
I tried until now settings reset, network reset and dfu restore.
Nothing solved the problem.
