Sep 20, 2014 7:14 AM in response to dsjankelowby jsl1360,Also, this was happening on my iPhone 5 (iOS 8). Yesterday I got an iPhone 6 (obviously iOS 8) so this seems to be a problem with the software and not the phone.

Sep 20, 2014 7:33 AM in response to ob1macby TSnow1,I think everyone has tried that... there's a lot of smart people on this board based on the nature of their terminology. I think we can all agree this is an IOS problem...

Sep 20, 2014 7:33 AM in response to ob1macby jsl1360,ob1mac, do you think that will work on a new iPhone 6, resetting the network settings? I'll try but I don't see why it would work since I'm not going from iOS 7 to 8 -- just a fresh new phone if that makes sense. Either way, I'll give it a try.

Sep 20, 2014 8:36 AM in response to dsjankelowby Virtual Campus Support,I have an 2008 Toyota Prius and was having the same issue.
I was able to resolve this issue by changing the passcode from 4 digits to 8 digits. I also changed the access point name to something else.

Sep 20, 2014 9:06 AM in response to dsjankelowby Rick600,I just got an iPhone 6, 64 GB yesterday. I had a Motorola Razr M Android phone until yesterday. The upgrade to KitKat 4.4.2 had messed up the Bluetooth connectivity with my 2013 Subaru Outback and Legacy both with the Type-A radio. I could no longer get them to pair. I could pair my iPad 3.
I found that I can pair my iPad 3 and the iPhone 6 (both with iOS 8). However, if you turn off the ignition and back on or when you start the cars, which momentarily kills the power to the radio, you loose the Bluetooth connection. You have to re-pair the link. I fiddled with some Bluetooth speakers at Radio Shack yesterday. I found that for at least one of them the link re-established itself when you turned the speaker off and then on.
I called Apple Care and spoke to someone who first told me you have to establish the link each time in the car. He then he put me on hold and spoke to an advanced support person who apparently said that that should not be the case. I never saw this problem with the cars and the Droid which was running Android 4.2.
So: Does anyone else have to redo the link each time?

Sep 20, 2014 10:19 AM in response to dsjankelowby Griff1973,I tried the 'Reset Network Settings' option as suggested in an earlier post but unlike many of the posters here it was not successful for both mine and my partners phones.
I then decided to 'Reset All Settings' - this has seemed to do the trick for us with both phones. This may be worth bearing in mind if anyone else finds that the 'Reset Network Settings' solution doesn't work for them. It does mean that you have to re enter your finger prints for touch ID to work etc, but at least now our phones are working as well as before.
A big thank you to the poster who originally suggested the 'Reset Network Settings' solution. He has helped a good number of people with his suggestion

Sep 20, 2014 11:06 AM in response to dsjankelowby markctpr,I'm having the same issue with TWO different iOS 8 phones in TWO different cars. I've tried resetting the network settings, deleting the pairs, reseting the MMI in the car back to factory settings--wiping everything, and still no luck... Super frustrating -- I just went out and purchased a Jawbone headset because I need to be able to use the phone in the car.
You'd think with the number of Audi and BMW owners at Apple, they would fix this one quickly.

Sep 20, 2014 12:10 PM in response to dsjankelowby anolte101,I am having the same issue in my Lexus ES 350. I've tried Reseting Network Settings as was suggested with no success. I may try reseting all settings to see what that does. I hope this gets fixed in IOS 8.01!!!
