Q: iPhone 5 iOS 8 Bluetooth issues with Audi A1

Apon upgrading to ios8 my iPhone connects to my cars bluetooth car kit(Audi A1 2012) but every time I place a call from my car the call drops from my car and i am only able to speak on my phone. Sometimes as my phone connects to the bluetooth kit my car dials the last number in my call log but in fact its not calling at all it just says it is on my cars display...

Please if anyone is having the same issue or knows what to do

Had the same problem. In my case I had to "reset all settings" (general - reset - reset all settings). After that it finally worked again. "Reset network settings" didn't help. Good luck!

Same issue here with Audi TT 2011. iPhone 5S with iOS 7 worked perfectly with the car. With IOS 8, the phone syncs contacts, last calls, etc.. I can even initiate the call from the car menu, however, as soon the recipient enters the call, there is no audio and the car changes into the mode where no call is active at all. The phone itself stays in the call. In the phones speaker menu the car is still the primary speaker but there is no sound and the counterpart can't hear me either (no wonder, in the perspective of the car, the call is no longer active ...).

Also same problem with Iphone 6 obvioud IOS 8 issue

    Please fix ASAP

Have you tried to reset all settings (general - reset - reset all settings) on your phone? Did the trick for me, audi as well.

In the past one thing that has worked for many is to completely delete the Bluetooth association from both the car side and phone side, then reassociate them.

FWIW, things work perfectly with a 2011 Toyota FJ Cruiser's BT system.

Same problem with iPhone 6 and BMW X1 2013.

Set Up from iPhone 5s backup.

Delete Bluetooth association and reset network settings doesn't work.

Finally reset all settings solve the problem.

Thanks to all for previous feedback.

Same problem here with 2013 Audi and new iPhone 6 (restored from iPhone 5 iCloud backup).  Reset Network Settings and clearing out Bluetooth settings on the car and phone didn't do it, but "Reset all Settings" on the phone did the trick!  Hopefully it continues to work.........

As you and I discussed in the thread: iOS 8 , iPhone 5s, phone audio in car system via bluetooth not working, my iPhone 5S with iOS 8 no longer works with my car's audio system. My iPhone 4S with iOS 6, then iOS 7 and the 5S with iOS 7 worked perfectly when paired to the same car (2005 Lexus LS 430). From other reports on this thread, I see why I was able to make and receive only one incoming and one outgoing call after resetting my network settings and deleting & re-creating the pairing. This worked once, but the next time I used my car, the problem reoccurred (also reported by Rick600). The iPhone 5S and my car both report "Connected," but that's not enough. When trying to make a call, I have the same problem reported by migzy: "as soon the recipient enters the call, there is no audio and the car changes into the mode where no call is active at all. The phone itself stays in the call. In the phones speaker menu the car is still the primary speaker but there is no sound and the counterpart can't hear me either (no wonder, in the perspective of the car, the call is no longer active …)."

I'm happy that your suggestions have worked for others. Sadly, not for me. I'm going to call Apple Care and see what they have to say.

It sure seems difficult to find and/or return to bookmarked iOS 8 / iPhone 5S / Bluetooth car threads on this forum.

    Don

Same problems with 2011 Acura MDX and iPhone 5 and iPhone 6, both running iOS 8.

After clearing the network settings from both phones and the car, I'm able to connect with my iPhone 6. I can dial out via my car's bluetooth, but when the call ends the phone does not hang up. I cannot transfer a call from my phone's speaker to my car's audio system. All of this was working (on the iPhone 5) before iOS 8.

Hi, I had this problem. iPhone 5S with iOS 7 worked perfectly with the car. With IOS 8, the phone syncs contacts, last calls, etc.. Reset Network settings didn't work for me. All problems continued.

I removed my phone from my Audi mmi bluetooth settings and vis versa from my iPhone.

I was about to reset all settings as this was also recommended on this forum but I did a hardware reboot instead (hold the home button and power/sleep button until the iPhone restarts) then re paired the bluetooth connection, this fixed my problem.

might be something to try befor the 'reset all settings'

Similar problems to others with my iPhone 6 refusing to pair with my 2012 Mercedes SLK. Tried the General > Reset All Settings option but the car and iPhone just couldn't see each other. Then tried resetting the car's command system (or in non-Mercedes speak the car's multimedia system) and it worked first time. I'm not sure whether it would have worked without resetting my iPhone but looks like you may need to force both car and phone to forget each other. Now streaming and calls work fine.

I have the same issue. I have an Audi Q5 when I connect it show dialing last number then I have to disconnect and it simply does not work on my Bluetooth in Audi. Can Apple please give us a solution. Also the autocorrect option is stuffed. It took me twice as long to type this message. Not user friendly at all. Ios7 worked fine I am sure it upgrading to ios8 that stuffed it up.
