Q: How to connect mac mini with macbook (late 2009)

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to connect macmini 2014 with a macbook (late 2009) ?

If yes, are there different ways to do it? Could you give me some info in terms of performance and costs among these different ways?

My macbook: OS X 10.9.4 with 2.26 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo, and 4 GB ram

I'm wondering to buy mac mini...

Connect for what purpose?
You can use Sharing and connect the two to the same network
Mac Basics: File Sharing
DVD or CD sharing: Using Remote Disc
http://www.apple.com/remotedesktop/
OS X Mavericks: Allow access using Apple Remote Desktop

I was wondering if is it possible to run software: mainly office automation or games using mac mini as "computational" hardware and use macbook for input/output: devices mouse, keyboard and screen.

Yes, use Apple Remote Desktop (get it from the App Store)

It will be slower than just using one Mac.
